Understanding the Nations and War Systems

Nations System

What is a Nation?

A nation is a player-created faction with:

  • β€’Territory: Protected chunks
  • β€’ Members: Players with ranks
  • β€’ Bank: Shared money pool
  • β€’Relationships: Allies and enemies
  • β€’Portals: Portals are restricted to Nations and can only lead to the spawn or allied portals

Creating a Nation

Use /ncreate to create a nation with a unique name, tag (2-4 characters), and color.

Ranks & Permissions

RankPermissions
LeaderAll permissions
OfficerInvite, kick, claim, build
MemberBuild, interact, containers

Players can have multiple ranks simultaneously. If ANY rank grants a permission, you have it.

Territory & Claims

Chunk System

The world is divided into chunks (32x32 blocks):

🌲 Unclaimed

Anyone can build

πŸ›‘οΈ Claimed

Protected by a nation

⚠️ Contested

Under attack during war

βš”οΈ Captured

Taken by attackers

Claiming

Stand in a chunk and use /nclaim to claim it. Use /nunclaim to unclaim.

Protection

Protected (Non-members):

  • ❌ Breaking/placing blocks
  • ❌ Opening containers
  • ❌ Using doors, buttons, levers

Travel & Teleportation

⚠️ Important: Limited Teleportation

Available Portals

🌐 Spawn Portal

πŸ›οΈ City Portal (Tier 1+)

  • β€’ Each Tier 1 city can build one portal
  • β€’ Can only connect to spawn or allied nation portals
  • β€’ Strategic resource for nations

🚫 No Teleport Commands

To maintain server balance and encourage meaningful travel, the following commands are NOT available:

❌/tpa (teleport to player)
❌/tpahere (teleport player to you)
❌/back (return to previous location)
❌/spawn (teleport to spawn)
❌/home (set/teleport to homes)
❌/warp (warp points)

πŸ—ΊοΈ World Size

The Ygdrasil world is 3072 Γ— 3072, creating a vast but manageable territory for nations to claim and explore.

War System

Overview

Large-scale conflicts where attackers capture defender territory. The attackers win when they reach 1,000 points!

War Phases

Phase 1: PRE-WAR (5 minutes)

  • β€’ War declared, participants notified
  • β€’ Defenders vote for VIP (War General)
  • β€’ Allies can join either side
  • β€’ No combat yet

Phase 2: ACTIVE WAR (20 minutes)

  • β€’ Combat begins, territory capture enabled
  • β€’ All kills count toward score
  • β€’ If the attacker can reach 1,000 points they win otherwise if they can't reach it within 20 minutes they lose
  • β€’ If time expires, highest score wins

Phase 3: POST-WAR (24 hour cooldown)

  • β€’ War ends, winner announced
  • β€’ Defeated nation on cooldown
  • β€’ Territory is rolled back and rebuilt

Scoring

Actionpoints
Regular Kill10

Territory Capture

How to Capture:

  1. Stand in enemy territory (must be attacker)
